All chapters are reminded that they should be in the process of electing their new chapter officers at their regularly scheduled meetings.
Also, each chapter must elect their delegates to the District Convention and National Convention.
The deadline for both conventions is June 1, 2009 (postmarked). Failure to comply with timely submission of delegates along with a failure to pay the per capita assessments of both the national and district lodges will cause your delegates to be refused entry and seating.
For those with "sovereign" votes, such as Past Supreme Presidents (Nationally and District) and Past District Governors (District), your chapters must pay the per capita assessments of both the national and district lodges or you will be unable to attend as a voting member.
Remember, these are not the rules of the District, they are OUR rules, those of the members of the Order of AHEPA. The conventions both set rules on these matters and members of AHEPA who are delegates of their chapters determine these rules.
Please make every effort to comply in a timely fashion so that both conventions are held and deliberations for the good of the Order can take place without any controversies over late filings, non-payers and late arrivals.
